The Department of Mathematics Govt. Degree College, Punganur, Chittoor district was established in the year 1998. The department offers Mathematics programme with Statistics & Computer Science (EM).
The Department of mathematics main aim is to produce mathematics graduates. It has highly qualified and dedicated faculty. Our mission is to develop innovative and creative thinking and explanation of local resources. Many of our students are pursuing their higher education like M. Sc, MCA and B.Ed. The course is very useful to secure jobs like Bank, SSC, Groups, SI and all other competitive exams. Now a days mathematics is the main source and very important to aspirant.
AP Govt newly introduced B. Sc honors from the academic year 2023-2024. From this academic year we started B. Sc Mathematics as major subject.
